About the Journal

Pan African Journal of Applied Development Sciences (PAJADS) is the scholarly journal of the Pan African Institute for Development - East and Southern Africa (PAID-ESA). It is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing rigorous and practically relevant scholarship in applied development sciences.

The journal serves as a strategic platform for researchers, policy practitioners, development professionals, and institutions to disseminate original research articles, review papers, and case studies that address pressing development challenges. It promotes applied, transferable, and action-oriented research grounded in a Pan-African perspective, with the aim of advancing concerted, decent, and sustainable development across the continent, and positioning Africa at the forefront of its leadership horizon.

PAJADS welcomes contributions in the applied development sciences, with a strong emphasis on practical, solution-oriented approaches that demonstrate how interdisciplinary knowledge can advance sustainable development across Africa. The journal encourages submissions that bridge theory and practice, highlighting innovative, evidence-based interventions and contextually grounded solutions.
